Description:
The Field Engineer will interface directly with customers to create custom clients, scripts and solutions to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction for SignaCert’s customers and partners. This person has experience in and will be responsible for:
- Accurately identifying business issues and requirements by working onsite with the customer
- Effectively configuring and demonstrating solutions that address these requirements and provide business value
- Efficiently working with customers and internal groups to ensure highest level of satisfaction and value
- Effectively gather implementation requirements directly from the customer and developing a work plan and implementation specs.
- Ability to utilize current product functionality and extend its capability through API and interfaces per customer requirements
- Thinking and communicating creatively and spontaneously about customer needs and our solutions
- Bringing energy and passion to our solutions, customers and people
- Ability to work remotely and autonomously and to be a self-starter (50-75% travel required)
- Capably delivering on schedule in a field environment
The Field Engineer must be confident and professionally capable of interacting with technical enterprise customers that range from IT administrators to senior level executives of Fortune 500 companies.
Required Skills:
- Intimate understanding of standard installation packages, i.e. RPM installs, Windows Installer, etc.
- Broad array of scripting capability: Perl, Python, etc.
- Basic systems management a must, able to configure Linux variants and Windows machines
- Understanding of network configuration and network management systems.
Working knowledge of the following technologies a plus:
- Java &/or C++
- Database (MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, SQL query, design and one or more reporting packages)
- Software deployment tools
- JSP/Servlet/Javascript
- Operating Systems, (Windows Server/Desktop and Unix/Linux variants)
